What MSAD 68 is doing to help reduce the spread of the H1NI (Swine) Influenza?

H1N1 Information

There are confirmed cases of H1N1 in the area.  The CDC continues to recommend the following measures to prevent the spread of H1N1.

To protect yourself and others:

  • Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or sleeve

  • Wash hands frequently

  • Stay home if ill with a fever (greater than 100 degrees)

  • Consider getting both seasonal (regular) flu and H1N1 (Swine Flu) shots this year

Both the seasonal and H1N1 vaccines have been ordered and MSAD 68 Health Services will schedule vaccination clinics as soon as the vaccine arrives.  Please visit the Maine CDC website for the latest information on H1N1 and seasonal flu.  Please call Cathy Cody, RN, MSAD 68 Health Services, if you have questions or if your child experiences influenza-like symptoms.
