This year in music class
we will be working hard and using our singing voices. We will play
instruments such as the xylophone, drums,
maracas, rhythm sticks and many others as well. We will work on the
steady beat, creating and playing, moving and dancing, using our
imaginations and most of all having lots of fun!
The
K-2 program is
busy learning the fundamentals of music.
We do a lot of singing and listening to music. We learn how to read
rhythms, sing high and low, the difference between steps and leaps, and so
much more. We will be exploring with many different instruments and
also learning to dance and move to the steady beat of the music.
The third graders will be starting to
play the recorder in January as our fourth graders will continue to learn
and grow on the recorder. In addition, we will also be learning how to
read notes and rhythms, do fun dances, and get them ready to take a musical
instrument in the fifth grade at SeDoMoCha Middle School.
