GrowME Project

`
Students in grades K-3 have been participating in the GrowME
Project. This project is a collaboration of the Valley Grange,
the Piscataquis County Soil and Water Conservation District,
and the Piscataquis County UMaine Extension Office to "build a
truly local program of agriculturally themed activities for
kids led by local volunteers with the goal of increasing agricultural
literacy and making it fun!" SeDoMoCha
Elementary participated in this project along with Brownville
Elementary, Milo Elementary Piscataquis Community Elementary
and Greenville Elementary. Click on the link below to see
more about this story on WABI-TV Channel 5.

Morning Drop Off
Please remember that if you drop off children in
the morning, please drive around to the back of the building, or you are
welcome to park in the front parking lot and walk your child to the
building. The bus drop off lane cannot be used for parent drop off
from 7:20 a.m. to 8:05 a.m. Thank you for your help with this.

Pre-Kindergarten and
Kindergarten Sign-Up
If you or someone you know has a child who will
be starting pre-kindergarten or kindergarten next year, please contact the
office. To qualify for pre-kindergarten for 2012-2013, a child must be
four on or before October 15, 2012. In order to enter kindergarten for
2012-2013, a child must be five on or before October 15, 2012.

Student Dismissals
To Parents/Guardians of all SeDoMoCha Elementary students:
For safety reasons, our schools will not
release children to anyone other than parents or legal guardians unless
written permission is received. Unfortunately, we are no longer able
to accept changes in students' dismissal arrangements over the phone.
The office needs to have a dismissal note from
a parent/guardian each day if your child is a car pick-up or a bus rider.
For Bus Students:
Please be sure to include your child's name
along with the address where they are heading and the bus number.
For Car Pick-Up Students:
Please be sure to include your child's name
and the name of the person who is picking up your child.
These are ways to ensure our students' safety.
Thank you for your cooperation.
